There’s something about fall that always inspires me with an extra dose of creativity when it comes to accessorizing. After months of keeping my daily looks as airy and lightweight as possible, I’m always ready to experiment with textures, mix and match all of the rich colors that are so fitting for the fall, and layer my outfits in different ways. Many of my favorite retailers are beginning to roll out their new arrivals for the season, and as I browsed through them, I could hardly contain my excitement for the months ahead. I’d love to share a few of the fall-outfit-finishing-touches that caught my eye!
Bags: I was happy to see plenty of burgundy bags, especially since my burgundy Mulberry crossbody (seen here and here) was one of my most-worn accessories last year. This backpack and this versatile clutch stood out to me as pieces that would be especially fun to pair with all different outfits this fall. Not a fan of burgundy? Navy is another shade I’m excited to wear more of.
Hats: From chic berets, just like the ones I wore in the August Gal Meets Glam Collection shoot in Paris, to a blush and burgundy felt hat I’m not sure I’ll be able to resist, there are so many amazing hats coming out this fall that I can hardly wait to style. If you’re not sure you can “pull off” a hat, I encourage you to find one you love and give it a try–I think you’ll be surprised by how confident it will make you feel!
Scarves: There will be plenty of time to layer on cozy blanket scarves as the temperatures drop, but over the next few months, I’m looking forward to updating my silk scarf collection with a few autumnal prints and colors. This equestrian-inspired Gucci print looks worth the splurge, while this vintage-inspired floral option is beautiful and budget-friendly.
Belts: I wear belts fairly often, especially with dresses, and look for special details that stand out. I’m a big fan of the color and buckle shape of this one and can see myself styling this bow belt with so many of the dresses from the Gal Meets Glam Collection.
Hair Accessories: This striped grosgrain headband has a nostalgic back-to-school vibe that is irresistible in the fall! I also love this velvet bow barrette that would be the perfect finishing touch for both casual and dressed-up outfits this season.
