We’ve been spending quite a bit of time in NYC, which allowed us to do more exploring than usual. In the past, our trips have been quick, not leaving much room for more than what was already on our agenda. On this last visit, we actually had two back to back trips planned but ended up cancelling our flight home in the middle because of the storm. We were afraid our second flight back to Charleston would get cancelled (which it did), so we decided to play it safe. On this day, we had a few hours of downtime, so we turned to my new Michael Kors Smartwatch to assist in our search for a great skyline view of NYC, which brought us to DUMBO.
When we were in NYC, I stopped by the new Sezane store in Soho and picked up a few new pieces. I’ve long been a fan of Sezane – you’ve probably seen me wear it on GMG before, so I was very excited about the opening of their first store in the US. FYI: a lot of the new fall items are sold out online, but still available in the store! So if you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth checking out. They have some great basics like this sweater and these booties. I’ve also found a few similar options of this sweater, all in a gorgeous marigold color, here, here, here and here.
The weather was beautiful the entire time we were in NYC. Although I don’t think I could ever live in New York (I’m just not cut out for the intensity of city living), this week definitely had me daydreaming about it here and there! Seeing the city from across the water in DUMBO is magical. It’s definitely worth a visit if you’re in the city- I couldn’t believe it took us this long to go! It’s much quieter and so peaceful sitting along the water, watching the buzz happening in the distance.
I’ve also picked out a few budget friendly pieces so that you can re-create this look for under $170! See my four picks below…
