One of the easiest ways I embrace Fall even when the temps are still warm, is by bringing out all of the autumnal colored pieces I have. From dark greens to burgundy, marigold, dusty pink shades and more, it immediately makes me feel the seasonal change. We’ve been getting little tastes of Fall, cooler mornings, less humidity and a slight breeze here in Charleston, but when we were in NYC a few weeks ago, we got lucky with some of that crisp air we’re all looking forward to.

After months and months of wearing pastels and soft colors, it feels refreshing to switch things up. I’m always immediately drawn to lighter hues and shades of pink, but to be honest, I love every color! Colors allow us to express our moods and personalities and set a feeling and tone for what we want to be that day. I’ve always loved the color green (we’re doing some beautiful greens throughout our house!) and couldn’t get this Raquel Allegra dress out of my head. It’s flowy and romantic and dreamy and I knew I wanted to wear it with tall knee boots all season long. Thomas told me I looked like I just came out of ‘Outlander’, which I happily took as a compliment since I love that show. I did feel like a little fairy floating through NYC in this dress and the cream version is absolutely stunning, too.

I first saw this pair of knee-high suede boots on Net-A-Porter a month or so ago and had them sitting in my cart, until I found this similar Sezane version for a fraction of the price. Of course, they were sold out in my size online at the time and I was bummed because they were exactly what I was looking for. I stopped into their new store while we were in NYC and literally squealed with excitement when they had them still available (they have quite a bit of pieces in stock still in the store that are sold out online!) and didn’t even think twice before getting them. We have a few trips coming up, back to NYC a few more times and then to London and Scotland and I know these will be coming along with me everywhere I go. I also found this similar pair (same color and shape) on sale for under $100 here!
