Less than 25 minutes away from downtown Charleston, Sullivan’s Island offers wonderful restaurants a few blocks from the beach. One restaurant on the island you must try is The Obstinate Daughter. O/D offers Italian dishes and seafood, as well as a mix of both. A classic example of this convergence is the wood-fired pizza with local clams. Thomas and I went here for lunch during one of our afternoons on Sullivan’s Island this past summer. The King’s Honey cocktail was tasty and refreshing, since we came in on a hot Charleston day. We split a pizza and the lowcountry shrimp roll. O/D is one of the restaurants that we bring our guests to that are first time Charleston visitors.
