Gal Meets Glam Scout Linen Two Piece

Our first priority for Memorial Day weekend is always to spend time in gratitude for the men and women who have lost their lives for our country. Every year, reflecting on their sacrifices make me especially thankful for all of the gifts in my life—Baby B, my family and friends, our health and safety, our home, a job I’m passionate about, and so much more. In order to always keep the true meaning of this long weekend at the forefront of my mind, my Memorial Day weekend wardrobe consists of casual, comfortable pieces in a crisp red, white, and blue palette.

We’ll be out of town for this upcoming holiday weekend (we leave tonight from NYC for our babymoon!), but I still packed some of my favorite styles that I’d wear back home. On a warm day in Charleston, the first thing I reach for is a breezy linen dress, so I’ve been loving our new Hattie dress and Scout two-piece set (more sizes available here, I went up a size in each to fit my bump). We work hard to source truly amazing fabrics for every Gal Meets Glam Collection garment. Since linen is one of my all-time favorites to wear, I was especially selective, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. I’ll be living in these pieces this summer, and can’t wait to share more new linen styles next month.

While dressing in a head-to-toe patriotic palette can be festive and fun, I usually opt for a subtler approach. If you prefer just a pop of red or blue, I love these bold navy earrings, these cherry red espadrilles, this navy-handle basket bag, and these patterned slides. Mix and match a few different red and blue accessories, or keep it simple with just one—either way, they’ll put a ready-for-summer spin on any outfit this weekend.

Striped Sneakers

While I typically opt for a low heel or mule sandals, a white pair of sneakers paired with a dress or shorts creates such an easy, relaxed look. I love these new red, white, and blue striped tennis sneakers from Loeffler Randall!

Red Floral Caftan

I’ve been loving caftans this season, and this red floral one from Anthropologie is no exception. The touch of smocking at the waist creates a little more structure, without losing any of the comfort.
