I used to wear headbands all the time growing up, so wearing them now invokes such a sense of nostalgia! Unlike the hair accessories of my childhood though, the headbands I’ve been collecting lately have a sophisticated feel, thanks to luxurious fabrics, tasteful patterns, and elegant shapes. I’ve added headbands as a finishing touch to dressed-up looks a few times over the years (like here), and am eagerly keeping an eye out for an occasion where I can wear this pearl Lele Sadoughi one. This spring, I’m also looking forward to styling a few more headbands for daytime, which I haven’t done in a while (I usually opt to tie a ribbon around my hair for a similar look instead). I’ve found too many lovely headbands and headwraps to resist straying from my go-to ribbon though—from the throwback feel of this tortoiseshell headband to the charming gingham of this knotted one, I would wear any of these to the office or over the weekends for a polished and pretty look.

One of my favorite outfits I wore during our Palm Springs Gal Meets Glam Collection shoot was the Polly dress paired with the Norah scarf tied around my hair. I wear scarves in my hair more often than around my neck as the weather warms up, so the vintage-inspired look this tying method created is one of my new go-tos.
