When I was a child, I loved spending time making gifts for my mom for Mother’s Day. Homemade cards, cookies (especially her favorite, snickerdoodles), story books, jewelry and more. Those little handmade gifts meant so much to my mom and built such a love for gift giving in me. As I grew older, I was able to buy my mom gifts and loved seeking out special items that I knew she either needed or secretly wished she had.
I’m happy to share my list this year with you! It includes a variety of gift ideas from simple and traditional, to more fun, unique and a bit out of the ordinary, to help celebrate our moms and all the amazing women in our lives that make us feel so special.
Traditional:
A nice card, fragrant candle, perfume, makeup bag set, jewelry box, silk pillow case, bouquet of flowers, delicious baked sweets, lace dress, new basket tote, silk scarf, lovely vase, colorful dessert plates, facial, massage or mani/pedi, dinner out + a movie
Fun & Unique:
A print or custom illustration or painting, Mom Sparklers (yes, they are a real thing!), a weekend getaway, a new flower garden (or this sunflower growing kit), a cooking class, an art class, a picnic basket filled with goodies, photography lessons, a day of fishing/hiking/biking, outdoor gear, or a unique REI class or adventure trip.
