Do you ever have mornings when you’re sitting, staring at your closet thinking “I have nothing to wear”? Usually on those days I end up picking the same things that always seem to work and get me out of my funk. One of those pieces is this cream lace top from Club Monaco (currently on sale). I’ve worn it time and time again (seen on Instagram here, paired with this skirt, boyfriends jeans, black high waisted jeans…) and it always does the trick. It adds just the right amount of prettiness to even the simplest outfits and always feels feminine and delicate.
I paired it with my blush Co trousers and nude colored Elizabeth & James blazer back home on a warm, sunny day. I love how even though the two pieces are technically not the same color, they look almost perfectly paired together. The pants are slightly high rise with a wide leg, so they’re ultra flattering and look good with shorter (cropped) tops.
I’m pretty sure if I had to narrow down my color palette to five shades, they would be blush, cream, black, navy and white. While I love bright colors, prints and the like, sometimes it’s nice to figure out what really works for you and limit it down. I know that if I find an item in one of these five shades, I’ll most likely wear it way more often than anything else. It also makes shopping, getting ready and everything else much easier.
