Burberry Trench, 1.State Dress, Chloe Flats, Miu Miu Bag
I have a handful of favorite flower shops in our neighborhood I stop by weekly to get fresh blooms, but there is nothing that beats the San Francisco Flower Mart. They have over 50 vendors selling every type of flower you could ever need or want. The best part is that it’s open to the general public Monday through Saturday from 10am-3pm. Sometimes I just go for inspiration and other times I’ll head over if I’m in need of a large flower haul for a shoot or dinner party (remember when I stocked up on these for our Thanksgiving table?).
The last time I stopped by the flower mart was when I took my girlfriend Rose while she was visiting in November. We stocked up on every shade of pink peonies and garden roses we could find. Since it had been a while, Thomas and I made our way over earlier in the week before I left for Connecticut. He had been wanting to come with me since one of his friends he played baseball with owns Torchio Nursery Company and sells in the flower mart. We wandered through buckets full of hydrangeas to an endless sea of spray roses, passing the bulbs of peonies and carts lined with hyacinths. It was a fragrant morning indeed and we most definitely didn’t leave empty handed.
This week we were greeted with some of the best weather we’ve had in a while. Bare legs and spring dresses were in order to celebrate the 70+ degrees. I love waking up to the sunshine and cool air, when all you need is a light jacket or trench over your spring look. I wore this dotted 1.State dress (belted) under my Burberry trench (last seen here) and Chloe flats. Luckily, by the mid morning I was able to go sans trench and show off this flirty little number.
A rainbow of tulips and ranunculus lining the walkway through the flower mart.
