J. Mclaughlin Top, Pants & Bag c/o, Chloe Flats, Eugenia Kim Hat
On the drive home from Santa Barbara, Thomas and I took a scenic route through Los Olivos and San Ynez Valley. It was so lush and green thanks to the rain and we fell in love with the landscape. The roads were empty, so we drove slowly, stopping for pictures along the way until we came across this tree that we decided to have lunch under. We had grabbed some snacks on the way home and had leftovers from the farmer’s market, so it made the perfect afternoon picnic.
I have a huge crush on gingham right now and luckily there are so many good pieces out this spring. I’m in love with these J.McLaughlin pants which remind me of one of my favorite prints I have of Audrey Hepburn. I paired them with a relaxed linen shirt in light pink which I tied in the front and my black scalloped flats.
To me, gingham and check print are the epitome of spring, especially when paired with crisp white shorts or white denim. I would love to pair this light blue gingham shirt with a white scalloped skirt I have but these J.McLaughlin scalloped shorts would look just as cute.  I also love this striped crochet dress that has me dreaming of summer.
How cute is this picnic satchel made from wicker and leather? I can’t wait to use it all season long.
It’s days like this that have me dreaming of having land or at least a backyard to spend more time in. We love the city but I think my heart is in the country! Someday!
Thank you to J.McLaughlin for sponsoring this post.
