I tend to stick to my tried-and-true daily makeup routine, but the change of seasons always inspires me to do just a little bit of experimenting. Along with the appeal of fresh colors and newly released products, I’ve realized my skin has different needs during different times of the year. Right now, I’m focusing on replenishing my skin with moisturizing products (my skin tends to be on the dry side, especially right after winter), embracing spring pastels that go perfectly with the new Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces I’ve been living in, and preparing for the heat and humidity that we know is right around the corner during the upcoming Charleston summer.

Bobbi Brown makes some of my all-time favorite products, so I’m eager to try the new limited edition Bobbi Brown x Ulla Johnson line, especially the gorgeous coral-red lipstick  and the rosy blush/highlighter duo. Worn together, they’ll create a perfectly minimalist summer makeup look. With summer in mind, I also have my eye on this SuperGoop shimmer eyeshadow, which contains SPF, and this RMS Beauty tinted setting powder to keep my makeup in place, minimize oils, and provide a touch of color that will be essential on humid days. To store both old products and new, I might ask for this floral makeup bag as a gift for my upcoming first Mother’s Day, since my current bags are looking a little dull from frequent use. I love the idea of getting a new one in time for the many mornings when our little lady will be at my side while I do my makeup routine!
