The Montage, Laguna Beach is an amazing hotel that offers a home away from home feel in luxurious style. Our room was nestled on a small cliff above a gorgeous beach, where Thomas and I enjoyed taking morning walks and soaking up the mid-afternoon sun. From our beautiful room we had a panoramic view of the ocean and amazing sunsets! On our first night, we had bellinis delivered to our room, where we sat on our balcony and enjoyed watching the sun move slowly beyond the horizon.
Our bungalow had a roomy sitting area to watch T.V. or just relax, and beautiful neutral-toned decor that was light, crisp, and beachy. It was one of the best lit hotel rooms we’ve ever stayed in. Looking back, I really wish I had stripped the bed sheets off so I could figure out what brand of mattress we were sleeping on, because it was like sleeping on a cloud!
The Mosaic Pool was another awesome feature of the Montage, located just steps from the beach, making it an extremely popular spot for hotel guests. The name comes from the pool’s incredibly beautiful mosaic tile design. Thomas and I also enjoyed a delicious lunch at the Mosaic Bar and Grille, which is located right next to the pool area.
We also experienced wonderful spa treatments at the Spa Montage. The facilities were absolutely gorgeous. One of the signature treatments not to be missed is the hot to cold treatment. Guests are given three options: Hot Tub, Sauna or Steam Room to go in for a couple of minutes, and then take a quick dip in a cold tub. It is said to help eliminate built-up toxins in the body. For Thomas and I, it felt completely exhilarating!
The Montage, Laguna Beach offers many delicious dining choices. We had an amazing meal at the hotel’s finest dining restaurant, Studio. The food was super fresh, and prepared to perfection. Thomas and I especially loved the heirloom tomato salad. Another treat was having breakfast at The Loft each day during our stay, which offered a variety of green juices and healthy options that are usually hard to find while on vacation, especially without having to leave the hotel grounds. Thomas claims that the vegan Huevos Rancheros were the best he had ever had!
I’m sure you can tell that we had an incredible time experiencing the Montage, Laguna Beach. It is a Southern California luxury destination that you won’t want to miss!
