The Farmhouse Inn, located in the heart of Sonoma, California wine country, a mere 15 minute drive from both Santa Rosa and Healdsburg in Forestville, offers casual, but plush accommodations perfect for a weekend getaway for two, or a wine tasting week with friends. Rolling hills surround the vineyards, making for a gorgeous setting.

Thomas and I were pleasantly surprised at the expansiveness of our room, giving us plenty of space to spread out. The neutral tone decor, including a vaulted ceiling with aged beam accents, and a cozy fireplace, combined rustic country charm with luxury. Our bed was extremely soft and comfortable, and the addition of a quaint balcony provided an intimate place to sip a glass of wine while enjoying the incredible view.
The Farmhouse Inn offers several special touches to make guests feel at home, including freshly baked cookies at turn down, a large out door fire pit with marshmallows, and s’mores fixings to indulge in, and a beautiful spa that offers free soaps to sample. We also enjoyed lounging around the heated pool, which is open late for those that want to take an evening swim.

The Farmhouse Inn includes a complete three course breakfast, with many options to choose from for all guests staying at the Inn. During our stay, Thomas and I were offered a selection of Pancakes, Eggs Benedict, or Homemade Granola. In addition, there is a restaurant open for dinner that has received one Michelin star for excellence. Unfortunately, we were unable to eat there because the restaurant is only open Thursday through Sunday.
