While you’re in Charleston, you must take a trip to the beach. Although there are a few beaches to choose from outside of downtown, Sullivan’s Island is our favorite. While only 20-25 minutes from downtown, some might not consider this a day trip, but there’s plenty to do for an entire day. Thomas and I will go here to eat and to watch the beautiful sunrise and sunsets. There are a bunch of awesome restaurants along the main drag when you enter the island, such as Obstinate Daughter, Poe’s Restaurant, Salt, Mex 1, and The Co-Op grocery and deli.
