Sunday might be my favorite day of the week. While Saturdays often find us catching up on tasks around the house and running errands, Sundays are set aside for family time. It’s the one day a week when we lounge in bed long after the sun comes up, take the time to whip up pancakes for breakfast, and stay in our coziest clothes late into the day. Especially now as a family of three, I cherish these relaxing mornings more than ever.
I also try to steal a few moments every Sunday for some personal self-care. When time allows, that means a long soak in the bathtub with candles lit, but more often it simply means putting on a face mask while I get ready for bed. Even the smallest gestures of self-love and pampering can go a long way during busy or stressful seasons. As the holidays approach, I love giving gifts like masks and candles to the women in my life to encourage them to take some time for themselves as well. This time of year, I’m always keeping a running list of who else would love the products that I’ve found the most effective or relaxation-inducing!
As longtime readers know, my love for dresses is only rivaled by my love for pajamas and loungewear. I can rarely resist a beautiful pajama set, nightshirt, luxurious robe, or cute pair of slippers. As the weather cools down, I reach for heavier robes (like this, this, and this) and slippers (my favorites are these, these, and these) at the front of my closet for easy daily access. Since the season for bundling up in loungewear layers is officially upon us, I rounded up all of my favorite cozy pieces for leisurely Sundays below.
Bow Pajamas
Our newest Gal Meets Glam Collection pajamas come in a pajama set or nightshirt, and in this bow print or floral.
Flannel Robe
On chilly days, nothing feels quite as cozy as a flannel robe. I love the crisp blue and white gingham of this Serena and Lily option.
Cashmere Slippers
Pom poms makes even the simplest slippers feel glamorous and fun. This neutral pair is made of cashmere to keep your toes warm and ensure the “walking on clouds” feeling that the best slippers all boast.
