We spent a good portion of our time in the Dominican Republic in the poolside cabanas- a mix of Dominican colonial architecture with a Palm Beach influence. It’s the spot where you want to be, filled with cozy lounge sections and big plush peacock chairs. I curled up with a page turner (The Nightingale, so good!) and a piña colada, which are two of my favorite things while on holiday.

I couldn’t resist all of the tassels on this Dodo Bar Or jumpsuit. It’s currently sold out (available in red here), but this one is quite similar. I wore it over my Vix bikini for a day by the pool/beach and packed my Kayu bag (which just came back in stock here) with all of my essentials. I loved walking the short distance from our bungalow through the jungle to the beach, barely two minutes away.

We woke up at sunrise, as we usually do, to grab some photos of the peaceful pool before the other guests filled the space by late morning. The golden morning light mixed with the sound of the waves crashing and birds chirping really does put you in a state of zen.

I quickly showered, let my hair air dry and changed into this pajama-like Joie combo. It’s light and airy and perfect for a warm, breezy evening. I went with minimal makeup and statement earrings, accidentally (wink, wink) matching the surroundings.
