Many people, including us, are slowly beginning to resume traveling again, from weekend getaways to trips far away. Whether you opt to pack a duffle bag, oversized tote, backpack, rolling suitcase, or weekender, a good, functional bag makes any travel much easier. We normally carry a combination of bags, depending on the destination and length of stay. On our recent trip to Ireland, I pulled out my favorite Patagonia backpack (similar here and here) that I have had for many years (traveled with me on our first trip to Ireland over five years ago!). It allowed me to be handsfree and doubled as a handy day pack for hikes. We also brought a small roller bag, Thomas’s backpack for camera and computer equipment, a tote for Clemmie’s essentials, and our regular sized suitcases. On a shorter trip, like the one we are on this weekend, we just bring rolling carryons, Thomas’s camera backpack and a tote or weekender. Below is a selection of getaway bags in various shapes and styles to take with you on your next adventure.

Canvas Carryall Duffel

This all-purpose canvas and leather duffel is roomy, light weight, and water/stain resistant, making it great for multiple uses.

Rattan Carryon

This rolling carryon is beautifully made with rattan and leather, and lined in a fun tropical print, perfect for weekend travels and more.

Weekender Bag

This ‘everything’ canvas weekender is stocked with roomy pockets and compartments, and a sleeve to slide over your luggage handle, plus a removable shoulder strap that can be monogrammed.
