Mille Dress on Julia, Beaufort Bonnett Outfit on C

This is the first year that we have taken on the task of decorating our home for the holidays on our own. In the past few years we were either traveling or working out of town all the way up until Christmas. This year, Thomas really took the lead with deciding on a simple, yet elegant green garden theme, planting a variety of topiaries and a green variation of flowers in different sized pots (we have lots of these) sprinkled around our front porch. I added the red bows (with Clementine’s help), and a traditional fresh wreath. The results are classic, festive and just what we had envisioned. Our living decor will be with us long after the holidays!

Inside the house we set-up a real tree, just one this year, covered with an assortment of ornaments we’ve collected over the years, as well as quite a few new ones. I added to our collection of small pastel trees, and we started a new tradition of collecting nutcrackers, nesting dolls, music boxes, wooden trees, and winter themed village houses, which Clementine has been delighted with! I’m sharing some of these treasures with you below so you can start (or add on to) your family holiday decor this season!

Woven Tree Collar

We’ve had this woven tree collar for a few years now and love how simple, classic, and versatile it is.

Nutcracker

These nutcrackers remind me of the ones my family decorated our home with around the holidays.. We’ve started a collection of our own, which is quickly becoming a favorite of Clementine’s, especially this moon-themed one!

Platter

One of my favorite holiday traditions is baking cookies for Santa. This platter offers a festive way to display our homemade treats.
