Every holiday season I look forward to adding a few new ornaments to our tree. But this year looks quite different since we have Clementine fully embracing every little thing we do to make the season bright. One of her favorite new routines is to take us by the hand to the living room to view all the Christmas decorations we’ve set-out. Since we don’t have a tree yet, the ornaments are on display on our dining room table. As we lift her up, she points her little finger to the one she wants to see and then points again to where she wants us to put it for a closer look. Over the last several years we’ve amassed a beloved, eclectic assortment of decorations. Each one seems to have a personal theme behind it – a tiny ballerina for Clementine, faux vegetables and fruits for Thomas, and beautiful miniature ginger jars and vignettes for me. I never thought we would find so much meaning behind a simple ornament. The branches on our trees will be happily weighted down with colorful little heirloom pieces for many years to come. If you are looking for a sentimental gift to give this season, or simply want to add to your own collection, take a peek at the assortment of beautiful ornaments we’ve found below.

Wedgwood Ornament

Collecting heirloom ornaments is something I look forward to each year. This Wedgwood blue and white porcelain one is a forever-classic that would make a lovely gift.

Ginger Jar Ornaments

In the last two years we’ve had a smaller tree that I’ve decorated with blue and white, including these mini ginger jar ornaments.

Felt Ornaments

Over the years we’ve had fun collecting an assortment of felt novelty ornaments, many with an animal theme, like these adorable fishing rabbits.
