Now that fall has officially arrived, I’ve found layering to be an essential everyday part of getting dressed. Mornings have been cool recently, with afternoons warming up, calling for the slipping on and off of cardigans and sweaters through-out the day. Since it still feels as if we’re in between seasons, I’ve been pairing my fall knits with a few of my summer to fall favorites, like this floral dress and cotton skirt. While both are ideal for a warm weather day, I’ll be wearing them with boots and chunky sweaters as the temperature drops.Â
Cropped Cardigan
A cardigan is essential this time of year to throw over a turtleneck tee or dress as the temperatures dip. This one from Everlane is the super-soft basic everyone needs in their closet.
Floral Midi Dress
Floral midi dresses, like this one from Sea or similar styles like this or this, make up my fall wardrobe. I love to wear them on their own or underneath a cozy cardigan.
Statement-Collar Blouse
The statement collar has been my favorite detail this fall, and this blouse is the perfect piece–great on its own tucked into a skirt or layered under a sweater to show off the bold collar.
