This fall will mark four years since we moved from San Francisco to Charleston. No matter how long we live here, I suppose I’ll always feel a bit taken aback by that first morning each year when, as soon as I step outside, I’m enveloped by summer’s balmy heat. Our summers here in the South are legendary for good reason. With the help of some humidity-fighting beauty products, plenty of SPF, and my most lightweight clothing, though, I never let the heat keep me from enjoying the season.
The easiest way to keep cool in these balmy summers is to wear white clothes in breathable fabrics like cotton and linen. It’s no surprise that my collection of breezy white dresses has grown exponentially over the last few years. Along with being the perfect choice for hot summer days, they also boast an effortless style I can rarely resist. I’m always on the lookout for unique details and silhouettes that make a white dress unlike any other.
