Gal Meets Glam Collection Primrose Dress, J. Crew Flats (almost sold out, similar here), H&M Headband
About a month before each Gal Meets Glam Collection photoshoot, we sit down to plan the styling for each and every piece. Will the model wear her hair up or down? What type of shoes would best complement the piece and make sense for where we imagine women will wear it? Simple or statement earrings? Our list of questions goes on until ultimately, we land on the exact combinations that will help us share each dress, coat, and more in the best possible way. For our December Collection, we gave ourselves the creative challenge of shooting each look in one indoor space. More than ever, we were excited to keep all eyes on our new pieces, letting the colors, fabrics, and patterns pop against our simply styled set. This Collection is all about chic simplicity and effortless versatility. To celebrate that further, you’ll see that the shoes, hair accessories, and more we used are all classic staples that pair with anything. Here’s a closer look at those timeless pieces.
Valentina Dress | Primrose Dress
We’ve been loving headbands lately as the perfect finishing touch to both casual and dressy looks. This versatile, under-$10 black velvet one has been one of our styling staples this season.
A touch of plaid puts a holiday-ready spin on any outfit. The houndstooth mules we used in our shoot are sold out, but we also love this black watch plaid pair, complete with a bow!
Ever the classic, we reach for these chic heeled sandals from Sam Edelman again and again to create a streamlined, sophisticated look.
Arianna Dress | Camilla Dress | Hadley in Plaid | Jody Dress
Traditional pumps get a modern upgrade with this pair’s rosy suede hue, pointed toe, and kitten heel. We loved using these to add a pop of pink to a few of our new neutral pieces.
Our Arden sweater in ivory makes the prettiest base layer for any outfit. We used it under the Hadley coat to create a neutral background, keeping all eyes on the coat’s new plaid fabric.
These light-wash, high-rise jeans are one of our favorite pairs year-round. We opted for them in this shoot since they add a fresher, brighter feel to heavy winter layers.
These delicate black mules create such an elegant look. We styled them with our Arianna maxi, but love them just as much with shorter dresses, since they make legs look extra long.
Luna Dress | Amanda Coat | Whitney Dress | Kendall Jacket
My love for classic cream and black is on full display in this Collection, so we knew we had to incorporate these cap-toe pumps into our shoot. Our go-to pair by Sam Edelman looks a lot like my favorite Chanel style, last seen here.
If you’ve been looking for a classic LBD to wear this season and beyond, try the Holly dress from our November Collection. It looks fabulous on its own, or serves as a perfect layer underneath jackets like the Kendall.
