Outfit Details:
Gal Meets Glam Collection Anita Coat, Joseph Pants (less expensive here), Jimmy Choo Mules (more sizes here)

As evidenced here and here, I’ve been reaching for a pair of Jimmy Choo mules often lately. Even in the midst of a season when I often love wearing festive and bold shoe styles, these ladylike heels keep winning out when I head to my closet. The fact that I keep gravitating toward them has ignited my newfound love for all things croc-effect. I’ve always appreciated the look’s classic appeal, but have been especially inspired lately by the vintage-inspired touch it adds to any outfit.

For a versatile look to pair with anything, opt for croc-effect shoes and accessories in warm, neutral hues like taupe, chestnut, and black. Whether you’re adding dimension and texture to a simple outfit or putting an elegant twist on a dressy look, these pieces will prove the perfect finishing touch time and time again. Best of all, since croc-effect boasts such a timeless feel, you’ll love wearing these pieces year after year, making it a wise option for higher-priced items like tall boots or wear-anywhere bags.

On the other hand, I’m also loving the playfulness of colorful croc-effect pieces, like this crimson tote that’s perfect for the holidays, these blush flats, and this chic green handbag. All of the croc-effect styles I’m most drawn to have classic, sophisticated silhouettes, but they’re made especially memorable by the beautiful texture. See more of my favorite croc-effect finds for this season and beyond below.

Statement Belt

As you may have seen in this post, I love to add a statement belt over a dress or blazer. This croc-effect belt from Madewell is the perfect shade of chocolate brown, so it’s easy to mix and match with any outfit.

Pointy-Toe Mules

I have a light blue pair of Malone Soulier mules (last seen here) that make any outfit feel special. This croc-embossed pair from the brand is a chic neutral alternative to style this winter.

Chic Handbag

The late Lee Radizwill was a style icon, known for minimalism and elegance. She was the inspiration behind this handbag from Tory Burch—the understated functionality of the bag paired with the beauty and intrigue of the croc-embossed leather pay tribute to her beautifully.
