GMG Collection Dress, Red Lipstick 

I want to add some extra color to my beauty routine this summer. What are your favorite lipsticks and nail polishes to wear this time of year? – Emily A.

A natural face with a bright lip has been one of my favorite summer makeup looks so far this year. In particular, I’m loving this Bobbi Brown lip color in Blood Orange and this RMS lipstick in RMS Red, which are two of my favorite summer red shades! If I’m not wearing a bright lip color, I usually opt for my year-round favorite Fresh Sugar lip balm, especially because it’s so moisturizing and contains SPF.

Essie’s Baguette Me Not has been one of my favorite summer nail polishes for years. It is the perfect pinky-purple that always garners compliments! Cherry red nails have such a classic, vintage-inspired feel that I love—I usually opt for Chanel Le Vernis in Gitane. My number one trick for painting my own nails is to use Seche Vite top coat, which dries almost instantly and makes my at-home manicures last much longer!

I share your love for wearing linen during the hot summer months, so I would love to see some new linen styles you’ve found! – Stephanie S.

The Gal Meets Glam Collection Cassie dress was one of my favorite styles from our May Collection, thanks to its bright floral print and comfortable silhouette. The fit and flare style is made of a light, linen-blend material that is perfect for hot summer days and nights. My most utilized linen piece so far this season has been the Frame linen blazer I bought last year. While this exact blazer is no longer available, Frame has a few similar cream blazers on sale here, here and here! You can see me wearing these two linen styles together here. I also have been wearing these white linen pants a ton thanks to their elastic waist.

I need some ideas for easy layers for days that are cool in the morning then warm up in the afternoon. Do you have any suggestions? -Bunny R.

My denim jacket is my go-to for cool mornings than transition into hot summer days. I have this Madewell one that I’ve been wearing non-stop since buying it this past spring. I also wear our GMG Collection cardigans all the time, especially in the office where it’s typically cooler. The Alana sweater, in particular, is one of my top picks for summer. It’s made of a linen blend material that is lighter than some of our other sweaters, and the neutral oatmeal color complements so many of my outfits. Adding a surprise pop of color, coral ties in the back create a cinched waistline that is incredibly flattering.
