Happy May! This month we’re gearing up for some special moments around BabyB, including my baby shower this weekend and our babymoon in a few weeks. The time has been going by so quickly thanks to our busy schedule, and I know our time to slow down will come soon, when I’m sort of forced to stop moving (aka my no travel zone) starting at the end of June. It felt like we had so much time on our hands and now it will be here at the end of next month! I can’t wait to celebrate with out family and friends this weekend, and it feels like the little lady feels the same, as she’s been moving so much lately, especially at night. I’m still amazed by pregnancy- from all the feels (great happiness and also many tears), an ever changing and growing body, feeling the motion of human life inside me and the anticipation of meeting our little person, who is a combination of both of us.

My pregnancy style hasn’t shifted much from what I normally wear, but there have been a few things I’m gravitating towards a lot more, mostly for comfort. Easier waistlines (empire, smocking or none at all) are best, as my bump grows throughout the day, so what may fit in the morning, may need to be completely unzipped by the end of the day. Some of my favorite pieces from our most recent GMG Collection include our Aurora dress, Chassity dress, Jasmine dress and many of our jumpsuits (thanks to their smocked waists). Our linen Jordan jumpsuit that I’m wearing here also has a more relaxed body, which makes it really comfy for maternity style. It also looks amazing on all of the non-pregnant ladies that have worn it, too (like here and here!).

Our work days keep up inside for most of the day (currently at our home office, but our new office will be done soon!!!), so Thomas and I try and get out in the evening during golden hour before the sun goes down. Getting our daily walks- once in the morning for coffee before our team comes in, then once again in the evening once everyone is gone- are my favorite part of our day. This time of year, our whole neighborhood and downtown Charleston smell like fresh jasmine, as its blooming everywhere right now. I can’t wait for this season next year, as we’ll get to do these same quiet moments with our new little buddy.
