Between our house remodel finishing and moving back in, our website re-design and the launch of Gal Meets Glam Collection, we’ve had our hands full these last few months. On Sunday we sort of hit a breaking point when we found a gas leak in our house, and instead of getting upset, I turned to Thomas and told him we needed to get outside and just enjoy the beautiful day, even if it was just for a moment. It was Easter and everyone was in such a wonderful mood around us- kids laughing and smiling (probably all hyped up from sugar), the weather was a warm 75 degrees and everyone had on their Sunday Best. So we decided to do the same. I slipped into this seersucker Milly outfit, went outside and forced myself to let go a bit. At the end of the day, we can only control so much and I made myself focus on all of the positives I could count in that moment, which turned my mood right around!

Getting outside is always a mood-lifter for me. I love starting my day walking to get coffee. It’s not even about getting the coffee, but getting fresh air, moving my legs, seeing the sun and hearing the birds chirp. There’s no better start to a day! Especially this time of year when the weather is so beautiful in Charleston, I want to enjoy it as much as possible. When the weather’s nice outside, it also makes getting ready in the morning that much easier. Spring clothes are so much more fun than piling on all the layers for winter. My skin craves some one on one attention (sunblock on!) with the sun.

Pieces like this seersucker combo are great for creating a mix of outfits. I’ve already worn this top with a separate eyelet skirt and the pants with a white tee, but they’re also perfect to pair together. Right now they’re both 25% off during Saks Friends & Family Event, along with a bunch of other select clothes, shoes and accessories like these pink wedges I’m wearing, my favorite Cult Gaia Bag, this Theory Linen jacket I recently got, these floral pants I’ve been wearing a ton, the APL sneakers I’m obsessed with and more! They also have 20% off jewelry. The event ends on Monday, 4/9, so make sure you’re able to get some early spring pieces at a great price!

A few other favorites that are also marked down until Monday include this seersucker one shoulder top (that’s under $70), these white linen pants, this pretty pink floral top, this sweet blue and white printed dress and these striped mules.
