Outfit Details:
Reformation Dress (linen skirt version), Rebecca de Ravenel Earrings, Carrie Forbes Sandals, Cult Gaia Bag
As I mentioned in this post, I brought mostly maxi dresses for our evenings in Maui. They’re my favorite go-to resort wear, glamorous yet relaxed at the same time. I usually wear mine with sandals or flats, opting for minimal makeup and simple accessories to keep with that laid-back beach vibe. This Reformation dress meets all of my vacation dreams with its wrap waist style and crisp white linen fabric. It also comes in a beautiful yellow and navy, which I love as an easy wrap dress for everyday.
At sunset, Thomas and I drove over to these small beaches with lots of black rock we saw off the side of the road earlier in the day. It ended up being an epic sunset, but that’s not a surprise since every sunset in Hawaii is amazing. This day, we had some off and on again rain, so the clouds set a gloomy but beautiful mood. I really love how the white dress stood out against the black rocks with the stormy sky in the background.
White linen has and will always be my favorite resort fabric. I have this Miguelina skirt that I wore on our last trip and it’s back in this very similar version here or a culotte version here. This Lisa Maria Fernandez linen shirtdress is also another option that you’ll wear even post vacation at home. A simple white linen shirt or linen pants are something that you’ll reach for again and again when packing for a warm weather destination.
