Continuing from Monday’s post (sorry for the delay, our wifi out in the country hasn’t been the best for uploading!), our following day in Lake Garda was one of the best travel experiences we’ve had thus far! This post is only one half of it, the morning portion, because the light was so incredible at the lake. We are early risers generally, but while traveling, even more so. We always leave the curtains in our room open so the sunrise works as our alarm clock. There is nothing that’ll get us out of bed faster than a glorious beaming light screaming “come outside and enjoy me!”.
I jumped out of bed, slipped into this little summer dress from Anthropologie, grabbed my Preston & Olivia hat that was glued to my head most of our trip and left our rooms sans makeup. We ordered two cups of fresh mint tea and walked down to the patio from the main house where the light was hitting the water, creating a sparkle that caught my eye immediately.
We met the others for breakfast on the outdoor patio of Villa Feltrinelli where two tall towers of pastries and fresh fruit were waiting. The four of us all ordered omelets and cappuccinos, the guys reading their papers while Rose and I discussed the days plans. Ah! We had big plans for a day on the lake and it was even more incredible than we could have ever dreamed of…stay tuned for tomorrow!
