The first thing that stands out about Ladera is the view. Nestled on a cliff between Gros Piton and Petit Piton the views are so good you don’t want to take your eyes away from it. The people that built the resort knew exactly that, so each room only has three walls and a dipping pool, which we spent a majority of our time in. It took our breath away when we first arrived and will make your experience so unique and different than anywhere else in the world. The next thing that stood out at Ladera was the amazing service. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly and played a huge part in having such a wonderful experience.

We ate at Ladera’s restaurant, Dasheene, most evenings and we loved its menu full of organic vegetables, fresh fish and local dishes. Make sure to try the cocoa tea at breakfast- we opted for this every morning instead of our usual coffee and tea and even ended up buying some to bring home.

Ladera is not located on the beach but there are shuttles that will take you down to Sugar Beach, this takes about 10-15 minutes each way. For day trips, make sure to checkout the Soufriere experience tour, go to the beach and possibly jump on a private snorkel tour or hike Gros Piton with a guide.
