Some of our most popular Gal Meets Glam Collection pieces to date have been our two-piece sets, and for good reason. While they create a whimsical, but still polished look when the pieces are paired together, they’re also easy to style separately to create countless unique outfits. Considering how much I’ve loved wearing our own sets over the last two years, I’ve been keeping a close eye out for options I love from other brands as well this season.

Floral Cotton Set

I love the romantic pink and green vintage-inspired floral pattern of this top and skirt set from Thierry Colson. While they look perfect together as a set, I would also pair the top with denim and flats for a more casual look and the skirt with a blouse and heels for an evening out.

Ruffled Romantic Top and Skirt Set

This cotton and silk-blend top and skirt set from Zimmerman offer a retro floral print with ruffle details to create a show stopping look for an evening out. Just add a pair of simple heeled sandals and you’re good to go. The top can be worn separately with denim (as I wore here) and mules for drinks with girlfriends as well.

Printed Linen Top and Skirt Set

I adore all of the beautiful prints and patterns that Agua by Agua Bendita creates and this linen stamp-print top and skirt is no exception. A sliver of midriff adds to the allure of wearing this set for a romantic vacation evening out. The versatility of the lightweight linen also lends itself to a more casual look, created by pairing the skirt with a simple white tee and sandals.

I love seeking out beautiful textures, like linen and chambray that make the pieces I’m wearing look more purposefully paired. Worn separately, they also create endlessly versatile wardrobe staples to wear all through the warmer months. Even when a set isn’t specifically sold together, it’s easy to create the look yourself by wearing separates in the same fabric and monochromatic shade or similar pattern. If you fall head over heels in love with a print, this is the perfect excuse to stock up on multiple pieces that feature it.
