Tory Burch Dress (more sizes here), Margaux Flats
As we transition from slip-on sandals to flats, loafers, slides, and eventually boots and booties, I’m still committed to finding styles that combine the latest design with comfort in mind. Those that easily break-in so they are ready to go for the new season. I used to be so in love with some of my old slip ons that I would forget to replace them, wearing them until they nearly fell apart. Eventually I learned to stay ahead of the curve by replacing them in advance, and rotating them with other shoe styles. Though I’ve come a long way, I still find myself gravitating towards a handful of comfortable shoes, sneakers, and boots each fall in the classic styles I’ve grown accustomed to, but in new colors, textures and patterns, and sometimes an embellishment or two. Find a sampling of some of these favorite styles for fall below.
Retro Mixed Low Top Sneakers
This pair of Common Projects sneakers mixes different textures by combining leather, suede, and shearling to create a style ready for the new season.
Classic Mary Janes
The Mary Jane is a favorite classic flat, especially in this nude leather shade, which goes perfectly with just about any fall look.
Mid-Calf Suede Booties
The mid-calf silhouette of these brown suede booties make them the ideal partner with this season’s cropped pants.
