When I packed for Switzerland, my dinner looks were where I got to really play up the change in scenery. New prints, new textures, and a much deeper, richer color palette than I’ve been in for the past few months. Deep purples, emerald greens, moody crimsons, lightened with mandarin orange and sky blue. Animal print to liven up ornate paisleys, tucked into the mix rather than treated as the main event, and textures like pony hair and suede starting to work their way in.

Changing for dinner after mountain air and a long day of walking is its own small pleasure, and these are the outfits that have me excited for fall. A whole new palette for the season, and room to mix colors, prints, and textures with a lot more depth.
