Our citrus season is always a bright spot in the middle of winter. We have a small grove of kumquat, lemon, lime, and tangerine trees that we look forward to harvesting this time of year to add a pop of color in the kitchen, as well as an extra zing to our water and cooking. The winter weather in Charleston tends to be mild, with cold fronts never lasting for too long, which makes it a perfect climate for these delicious fruits. The cheerful shades of orange, yellow, green, and pink always gravitate into my winter wardrobe as well. See below for some of my favorite winter citrus styles to add a bright start to the new year.
