We are wrapping up our week of organizing today with a focus on the family room. This is the room we gather in to hang-out, play, sometimes eat, and simply relax as a family. There are lots of different types of baskets scattered around the room holding everything from books to games and small toys. We have a large wicker chest to store the rest of the toys that would otherwise take up the entire family room! The hinged soft close top is nice around children. My collection of pretty bowls, trays, trinkets, boxes and bins are used to hold small things like matches and coasters, and larger items like books and throws. I love the way these pieces come together to make our family room feel warm and welcoming. See below for a selection of beautiful storage options to add to your family room this year!

Rattan and Mahogany Storage Trunk

We use this beautiful rattan trunk in our family room to store toys and puzzles for the kids. It makes it so much easier to find things!

Seagrass File Cabinet

This natural wood file cabinet with seagrass baskets can double as a side table in any room, and store other types of items as well.

Hand Painted Iron Tray

I love the vintage feel of this hand painted geometric tray. Display it alone or holding candles, coasters, small books or trinkets.
