One of the highlights of my mornings is selecting what Clementine is going to wear. Since she was born, I’ve been coordinating our outfits in some way, pulling from subtle similarities in a pattern or colorway. I’ve especially enjoyed searching for dresses in beautiful cottons and linens, with details like smocking, embroidery, ruffles, and lace. I’m savoring these routines for as long as I can, as I know as she grows older she will be less and less thrilled with the idea of matching mom. But at least for now she loves to wear dresses in similar styles to mine, and it warms my heart to see her smiling, dancing and twirling around in them.
