Something I have always wanted to spend more time doing is writing notecards and letters. It has become a lost art with technology, but I believe it is making a comeback with people unable to visit one another right now, creating a growing desire to connect in more meaningful ways. A handwritten letter is truly one of the most thoughtful, beautiful gifts anyone could give, as it takes reflection and time to draft words onto a nearly blank piece of paper. And it’s something I could be much better at. There have been many times that I have wanted to do so, but time got ahead of me, and then I felt it was too late. Well, late is better than never. Even when framed with lovely hand painted florals or a bright, colorful pattern, it is the handwritten words that truly add meaning.

I recently collected a selection of new stationary and note cards with the goal of sending them to friends and family members who live far away. They are lovingly sitting on my new vintage desk in my new home office space, along with my letter box and other small items that hold a bit of meaning to bring happiness to my little work corner.
