When I set out to create Gal Meets Glam Collection, the one thing that I really believed in was creating product that felt right for our customer. I have always loved dresses and knew that was without a doubt the product for us to start with. It’s been incredible to see so many of you out there feel that connection with our dresses, too. As we started to think about other products, I wanted to be very intentional about bringing anything new to life. I wanted it to be thoughtful and have purpose, as well as be high-quality and bring value to our customers’ lives.

I’m sure a lot of you know that aside from dresses, I have a huge love for coats. A great classic coat will stand the test of time and remain in your closet for many years to come. That’s why it felt like a natural extension of the Gal Meets Glam Collection brand to debut our first coats collection–launching tomorrow, October 15 at 12 P.M. EST/9 A.M. The number one priority for me when we set out to create our Gal Meets Glam Collection coats was the fabric quality. We spent so much time sourcing the fabrics, because at the end of the day, it’s the fabric that needs to be amazing if you expect it to last. I’m so incredibly proud of the quality and craftsmanship that our coats have. This particular collection plays off of our core DNA, which is a love for feminine and romantic details, but in classic, timeless shapes and silhouettes. We looked to a lot of vintage coats for inspiration for the bodies and silhouettes. I love the effortless elegance of a swing coat and the sophistication from a beautiful, tailored, double-breasted coat. I also wanted to introduce a few styles, like a puffer and teddy coat, that could pair with more casual outfits. And while I wanted a few statement coats (like our plaid toggle coat), I also wanted to provide classic styles that you’ll reach for every single day. The colors of the collection are also core to our brand. You’ll see different shades of pink, neutrals like oatmeal and black, winter whites, our favorite dusty blue, and some styles that mix all of the above. These coats are meant to be worn with anything, from your favorite GMG dress, to your most-loved pair of jeans, and everything in between.

I cannot wait to see how our customers incorporate our coats into their everyday lives. I hope that you’ll find so many reasons to grab these coats all fall and winter long…or even longer, depending on where you live!
