My Day Look – Arina Dress (some sizes still available)
My Evening Look – Phoebe Dress
On nearly every trip we take to Europe we will research return flights that includes a 2-3 day pitstop in London vs. promptly returning home. That’s because one of our closest friends, Rose and her husband live in London. With their newest edition to their family, their daughter Lily born earlier this year, we just had to make the flights work following our Babymoon in Mallorca. Conveniently, our first full day in London was actually Thomas’s 30th birthday. So with Rose’s help we arrange a day we knew he would love, lunch at Petersham Nurseries in Richmond Park and dinner at Chiltern Firehouse. It was a very special day and T had a big smile all day. In true Thomas style we decided to capture this day on our film camera.
I’ve written about Petersham Nurseries before in this post so I won’t go too far into it here. But a quick description is it’s a beautiful plant nursery which features an incredible restaurant and a cafe. Last year, we visited and fell in love with some garden gear we just had to have, which proved difficult to get home. On this trip we had a spectacular meal followed by a walk through the nursery. To our surprise, Rose called ahead and had them plan an extra special birthday cake for Thomas. We even helped Rose pick out a few plants for her garden.
(two extras, not on film, but I wanted to include!)
We got all dressed up for dinner and headed to Chiltern Firehouse, one of our favorite dinner locations in London. The food is always good and the environment is guaranteed to be lively! We ordered a few rounds of cocktails (mocktails for me) and had a beautiful evening with two of our favorite people!
