Thomas and I recently drove out to Rhode Island from NYC for the weekend and stayed at the beautiful Ocean House hotel that sits right along the water in Watch Hill. We’d been wanting to visit Rhode Island for a while and since we’re in NYC so often now, we’re trying to take more weekend trips after work weeks.
On our first morning, we woke up to a cool 50 degree sunrise. It had still been warm in the city, so this change of weather was a happy surprise. After grabbing some coffees in the lobby and changing into warmer attire, we walked out to the beach of the hotel. There’s something so peaceful and soothing about a grey, cold beach day.
I brought along this old favorite navy peacoat by Frame (last seen here, here and here). I’ve had it for a few years and it’s become a great closet staple- any sort of navy outwear usually does. Madewell came out with a similar style here this year that’s under $200, along with this H&M one and this Cos one.
I love my white denim in the winter time. Even though we’re just now starting to get winter-like temps, I’ve had them out for a while. These white jeans from Everlane (under $100!) were one of my favorite buys from last year and I think these white cords by Levi with be this year’s purchase. I love how easily they are to style- last seen here in NYC.
