ASOS Dress (I’m wearing the petite version), Coach Bag c/o, Chloe Flats
Having our move done by the weekend was a huge sigh of relief. We spent a majority of our time on Saturday and Sunday unpacking and organizing (the movers we hired helped a lot with both!), enough time to actually finish the whole house! By Sunday night, we cooked some dinner we had picked up at the farmer’s market on Saturday and I ended the night with some wine and a good book. All of our things from our San Francisco apartment don’t even come close to filling the house. It feels pretty empty, but I’m so excited to start the search for new pieces and treasures to fill it over time.
As I mentioned, on Saturday, Thomas and I headed to the farmer’s market to pick up some fresh fruit and produce for the week. It also felt really nice to do something that was a part of our weekend routine in San Francisco. I’m learning that finding some familiar things, even if it’s just a similar activity, really helps with feeling at-home. We also spent a part of the morning walking around South of Broad, one of my favorite parts of Charleston. We’ve found it’s best to get up a little early while it’s still cooler and spend some time outdoors. I bought this ASOS dress a few weeks ago and love the ruffled detail with the stripes. I’m actually wearing a petite, which ended up being the perfect length on my frame (I’m 5’5”).
One thing I know I’m going to love about living in the South is the pretty much year-round warm climate. This dress lover is all about it! One thing that I always wear year round, as long as the weather conditions are pretty mild, is a classic shirt dress. This white ASOS one has the same ruffle detail as the striped one I’m wearing, just with a collar and buttons down the front (I couldn’t resist and bought them both). This pink lace ruffled one is also just as sweet!
