Outfit Details:
Red Valentino Coat, Mother of Pearl Top (last seen here, similar here and here), Maje Pants (last seen here, similar here and here), Louboutin Pumps, Celine Bag, Sweet & Spark Vintage Pearl Necklace
Last weekend I had the opportunity to speak on a panel at the Create & Cultivate Conference about the business of blogging. I had such an inspiring time in Dallas meeting with other likeminded entrepreneurs and businesswoman doing really cool, awesome things. I flew in and out in less than 24 hours, so it was a quick trip with not much time to squeeze in anything else. On the first evening, I wore this combination- Mother of Pearl top and Maje pants- to a dinner hosted for all of the speakers. I loved the combination so much that I came home and re-wore it again.
I last wore this Mother of Pearl top on the blog in this post back in September. It’s one of my favorite tops I own because of the simplicity and uniqueness from the bell sleeves. It’s not available anymore but I found a few similar versions here, here and here and this simple cream one here.
These high waisted black Maje trousers are another old item in my closet (last seen on GMG in this post and this Instagram) that I re-wear again and again. I picked them up a few years ago in NYC after falling in love with the figure flattering silhouette and bow around the waist. If you’re looking for a similar pair, I found this one and this one that are almost identical as well as this pair that’s under $60.
My girlfriend Jillian owns the vintage jewelry company, Sweet & Spark, so I’m always finding the best vintage jewelry from her. I got this classic strand of pearls some time ago and forgot about them until I reorganized my jewelry collection. I plan on incorporating them into a lot more looks to come. Jill is always inspiring me to wear more vintage jewels, she’s always wearing the most amazing pieces every time I see her (you can see this post we did together about brooches).
