For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to pastel colors. I could never reserve them for the springtime alone—in fact, I might love styling them throughout the year, when they feel fresh and unexpected, even more than I enjoy layering them on in the spring. In the height of summer, shades of soft peach, butter yellow, mint green, and sky blue infuse any outfit with a light, airy, whimsical feel.

I couldn’t resist this pink linen dress by Sleeper, as it meets all of my current must-haves: breathable enough to beat the heat, easy to style for at-home or on-the-go wear, comfortable, and true to my personal style. The puff sleeves, ruffled neckline, and full button-down front add just enough thoughtful details to make this style feel special. I slipped into white sneakers to create a more casual look–something I started doing more frequently when Clementine was born and have kept up with throughout the year.
